Newcomer of the Year: Rachel Becker, Oklahoma State
It's no secret that Rachel Becker was a great player at Purdue. In her lone year in Stillwater, she was undoubtedly a big reason why the Cowgirls made their fourth straight Women's College World Series appearance.
Becker gave Oklahoma State's lineup the jolt it needed at the top of the order. The second baseman led the team with a .443 batting average and 47 walks as she constantly found her way on base. Becker provided plenty of big-time hits as well. Her 22 doubles were tied for the most in the country. She also provided a good defensive duo up the middle with Kiley Naomi with a .977 fielding percentage.
