STILLWATER – Simple question, Can Oklahoma State football improve? You see after several days of hearing fans claiming to be good OSU football fans declare that the program is moribound and run into the mud and is unable to get loose, I needed the answer from somebody I absolutely trust and knows football. I turned to the OSU football analyst I call my football “Yoda” in Chris Thurmond.

“There is no doubt,” Thurmond said.

Hope that's all correct. For the team more than the fans honestly. When fans boo and leave our game early, it somewhat kills my concern for the fans. But this run of about the last 9 games is lousy for the team that at least we've been told has been trying so hard to get ready and win big.

That was a strong statement about bad stuff going on last year. Whatever it was, I'm glad its been dealt with. But, Man, a W against KSU would change everything. Maybe they can figure some stuff out and shock the football world..maybe.

Here is the question: how much do you think a bunch of 5th year senior O-lineman can improve during the season? Answer: not much!

Like this said and like we've seen, aside from a few plays on defense where a Wr is left alone we have defended well. Take away three wide open plays for Isu and we easily win that game. Problem is they were supposed to be a win. Now the schedule gets very tough. Hopefully we can pull something out. Go Pokes!

Can they improve? Or course they can.

By a lot? Nah.

but they can get help from the RBs, FBs and TEs. (and even the QB on occasion)

There is a whole lot that can be done to improve our pass blocking and run blocking. A whole lot of improvement can be made... definitely

For that matter, I believe that our downfield blocking by the WRs needs to improve drastically too.

you just need to recruit better. As much as you get paid in your job, you should be able to obtain better information and hire consultants to help you get better results!

Well, one possible glimmer is we've settled on a qb seemingly and totaled more yardage at ISU than most teams would expect. Perhaps this turns around somewhat and we at least keep the bowl streak alive, our reputation doesn't damage recruiting and we make a crazy effort against OU. This next game likely reveals a lot.....one way or the other!
