The NFL Combine invitees of Tylan Wallace, Chuba Hubbard, Teven Jenkins, Rodarius Williams, and Amen Ogbongbemiga had all eyes on from the jump but it was another Cowboy that caught a lot of the attention by the end of the day.
Defensive lineman Cameron Murray had the performance of the day.
The 6’3 300 pounder first impressed by pumping out 27 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, which would have ranked in the top 10 of the 2020 NFL combine. He then lined up for the 40-yard dash and tested in the 4.8 range, which is exceptional for an athlete his size.
He posted a 31.5 inch vertical, a 9’1” broad jump, 4.62 second 20-yard shuttle, and a 7.83 second L-Drill, all of which is impressive for a guy with his weight and frame.
He also ran through position drills nearly perfectly showing athleticism, speed, quickness, and flexibility. He did not only do the normal linemen bag drills, but also went through ball drills with the linebackers where he really looked good with footwork and even catching the ball. His overall performance was very strong.

Cowboy defensive line coach Joe Bob Clements told Pokes Report’s Robert Allen in the middle of the 2020 season that if Murray kept up the way he was working, he was going to work himself into a roster spot in the NFL and NFL teams agreed. Scouts called Clements and other coaches with interest about Murray so his performance today in front of them should bode very well for him.
