More We've Learned or Confirmed on Mike Gundy's Contract Moving Forward

STILLWATER – The more time that goes by since the scenario thrown out on Friday, the more we either learn or confirm on what Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy’s contractual situation will be moving forward with Oklahoma State. The former Cowboys quarterback that has been a part of an overall record of 275-172-3 in all his time at Oklahoma State. Gundy has been a part of 450 games as either a quarterback, assistant coach, offensive coordinator, or head coach.

I've read elsewhere that the Charolette coach will be DL coach and not DC. Some are speculating the DC will be Tod Grantham because of this hire.

Gotta believe Harrel and the BOR have veto power regarding football hires. If I were Mr. Harrel,

I would suggest to Coach Gundy that he hire proven and qualified candidates. Overall Gundy has done pretty well

in that area. He's had a few swings and misses recently.

It appears Coach Gundy was no match for Mr. Harrel and the BOR. It's good he got reined in.

If the attitude and results don't improve, then the BOR will take the needed steps to get the football

program headed back in the right direction. Go Cowboys!

none of this statement is factually accurate, except that Gundy had done pretty well.

I mean you can believe whatever you want, but what you wrote ain't anywhere close to the truth.

If Gundy was not reined in this weekend, OSU needs a new Board of Regents and a new administration.

Oklahoma State University can certainly survive without Mr. Gundy.

Gary Patterson was at TCU for 20 years. Overall he had a very good record. A day came when it was time for

him to go. Texas Christian University is doing quite well.

Their new football coach led their team to the National Championship Game 2 years ago.

The Frogs went 8-4 this year and their team and fans get to to a bowl game.

I'm hoping Coach Gundy can get us back to winning ways and a bowl game very soon!

Ok genius, if they were going the TCU route they terminate Gundy! Harrell and these Donors got their parade pissed on by the lawyers who told them YOU HAVE NO CAUSE! It will cost you $25 million to terminate him and even more millions to hire a new Coach and staff which this University DOESN'T HAVE CURRENTLY!!! THANK GOD GOD SHRUM AND WEIBERG WHOM SAVED THIS UNIVERSITY A TON OF MONEY AND KEPT US OUT OF A FINANCIAL HOLE! The only thing the BOR and donors got was a reduction of the buyout to about $17 million which I still think they would have a difficult time coming up with! They got NO REDUCTION IN PAYOUT BECAUSE THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS GUNDY ONLY GETS $ 6.75 million and the other million goes to NIL and he can brag to his players he is giving a million to NIL funding! You must be Harrells version of Baghdad Bob!!!

Mr. Harrel and the board did their job. They reined him in. He gave salary back. Right now that cannot go to

NIL. Gundy relented on salary, the rollover and the buy out.

I bet we don't see anymore coordinators from Gannon or Shippensburg either.

It is GOING TO FUND NIL!!! You ought to try reading Roberts reporting and stories on detail!!! The guy from Shippensburg had top 20 offenses four of the six years he was here!!!

FYI there are 4 other OSU Cowboy podcasts that say that Gundy was reined in and submitted

to the BOR's demands. Harrel wisely handled the situation like a very good poker player.

I predict Gundy will change his demeanor for the better and dramatically upgrade in game

strategy or he will be gone after next season.

Those aren't UNIVERSITY FUNDS GENIUS!!! The money goes to him but is then automatically sent back into the NIL! With the new settlement off this current Court Case the SCHOOLS WILL HAVE DIRECT CONTROL OVER NIL! STAY IN YOUR LANE!

If Gundy is gone after next season, then Harrell, the Prez and the AD all better be gone too.

I just don't understand why everybody and their envious brother is trying to scapegoat Gundy in this mess. One bizarre season does not warrant any of this BS. If the Cowboy fans had paid their NIL bills then we would not even be having a discussion and Harrell could have kept his head planted in his money vault.

The BOR is a joke and failed miserably at protecting OSU. Egos got in the way and feeding those egos was more important than the long term stability of OSU football and the athletic department. That is poor leadership and p---poor management of a situation that became a PR nightmare. Whether they reigned Gundy in, got him on his knees, bent him over for a spanking, took the money, won the poker hand, or beat Gundy at checkers they FAILED because it makes OSU look like a clown circus. The BOR are those clowns.
