STILLWATER – Nobody goes into the transfer portal without motivation. There are two primary motivations for putting your name in the transfer portal and one is money and two is opportunity. Those are not to be confused and may not be in that order. There are also many situations where a player is looking for both opportunity and money. My guess is that new Oklahoma State arrival and former TCU quarterback Hauss Hejny got in on both.

Need to see him and Flores in game action and hope one of them can get the job done or we may be in for another long disappointing season. Hope not. GO POKES!!!

I do remember who started the Central Arkansas game…it was Rangel, not Bowman.

Hopefully we have seen the last of Rangel on the field, barring injury. Seems like a good kid but he's not the type of talent at QB needed to take this program forward.

Truth hurts. A guy like Rangel would be better served starting at a program like North Texas. He's not bad but he's not a championship caliber QB IMO. QB1 should be Hejny, and you can already sort of read between the lines.

Why can't we be happy for once with having a full house of QBs that are able to play at this level?

This should be a blessing, not an issue to be dumping on players about. For gosh sakes, how did you become so jaded?

How many recent seasons have we lost our starting QB, and/or the backup and had to stick in the 3rd guy and then hope to heck he wouldn't get hurt because we had only walk-ons behind them. Remember?

Why can't we hope the kid really takes to this new offense and surpasses all your expectations?

The truth hurts, but the only truth that I can see is that unqualified folks are disrespecting our players and their efforts needlessly.

Be thankful, be happy. We're in a good place. I hope none of them leave before the season is over.

How is that mean spirited? I said he seems like a good kid, just not the QB needed to raise the level of play of the team. Based on his play thus far I think it's a fair assessment. This will be his 4th year in the program.

yeah, we heard what you said, you said it to everyone. We heard that you believe it is your right, duty and responsibility to disparage fellow OSU people (i.e, players) in a public forum. Mean spirited.

Isn't he our most experience QB? Hmmm... yes, I believe so.

When Rangel played last year he looked the best of any QB who played. Of course, until he got hurt.
Against BYU he looked great, I think if he played the whole game we win.

I agree. Seems like when he gets to run with the 1s all week and actually prepare to be the starter he does well. BYU was undefeated and looking very good and Rangel did well. I believe he isn't expected back very soon because of the collar bone. He will miss reps for sure.

Bowman was our most experienced QB too. That went great

Agreed. If he had started the entire season, we likely would have had a much better record than we already did (the first season). His experience clearly was the difference.

In year 2, I was as disappointed as the next fan that we didn't see any improvement from Bowman, but then, Ollie wasn't exactly tearing it up to help him/us either. I don't know what happened last year, but I certainly would not begin to place the entire blame on Bowman, the whole dang coaching staff got fired..
