I love defense. I was (am) a huge fan of the old hard-nosed defenses of the 70's and early 80's with Cowboy heroes like Philip Dokes, James "Duck" White, #1Son's childhood hero Leslie O'Neal (which sounded like Leslie O'Meal out his 4-year-old's mouth), Jimmie Williams, Cleveland Vann, Calvin Miller, Mike Terry, Barry Price, John Corker, Daria Butler, Dexter Manley, Jerry Winchester, Mike Green, Chris Rockins, Brent Guy, Matt Monger, Mark Moore, Sim Drain III....and MY all-time Cowboy hero Rick "Cowboy" Antle. Every one of those guys would make a hit on an opponent that would send him AND his slobber into Kingfisher County. I think we just might have the coaching staff to bring that old-school toughness back to O-State. I hope so. Go Pokes!
