Aiden Martin Didn't Take Long as the Berryhill Two-Way Lineman Commits to Oklahoma State

STILLWATER – Aiden Martin may feel like he has been on a whirlwind as he was in the West End Zone at Oklahoma State last Thursday meeting with head coach Mike Gundy, offensive line coaches Andrew Mitchell and Cooper Bassett and Offensive line recruiting analyst Zach Allen.

Everybody was impressed with each other and Oklahoma State made an offer to Martin. Over the weekend, Martin was off to Kansas where he watched the KU-Arizona basketball game and spent time with the Jayhawks staff. Now on Monday, Martin has committed to Oklahoma State.

Martin has 10 offers at this point, besides Oklahoma State, there are offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Maryland, Purdue, Texas Tech, Tulsa, South Florida, and Washington State. He had official visits scheduled to Arkansas, Baylor, and Kansas, all in June.

The 6-5, 280-pound Martin is a two-way player for the Berryhill Chiefs. The obvious positive with that is you can watch tape and see the attitude he plays with on defense come over and permeate his play on offense. In other words, Martin, a good young man and student, plays mean on offense just like he does on defense.

Last season on defense he had six sacks, a fumble caused, and two recovered. One of the recoveries was a scoop and score and he was gone before the majority of the players on the field even knew there had been a fumble. As a sophomore he had 39 tackles, three sacks, and an interception that he returned 14-yards. This is not your average offensive linemen. He also plays basketball for Berryhill.

Watching him on video he loves to bury his targets. He is excellent on run blocking where he gets to be the most physical. Because of his athletic ability, he is outstanding in pull situations and Berryhill does plenty of that. What we don’t know is pass pro. Most of the time it is play-action and Martin just blocks straight ahead. There is little drop back passing, so you don’t see Martin back up a lot. That may be something he has to work on.

His frame is plenty big, and he should be able to pack on more weight up to 315 or 320 pounds.

Martin is the third commitment for Oklahoma State in the 2026 class, but he is the first on the offensive side. At this point, there are no seniors on the offensive line and there was only one slot in this class for an offensive lineman. Of course, in this day and age of college football you keep recruiting because needs can change before and with the next transfer portal window. Oklahoma State will keep looking for good offensive linemen that want to join the class.
