STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy met with the media on Friday night following the 19-12 loss to Tulsa. It marked the first win for Tulsa since 1998, and the first win for the Golden Hurricane in Stillwater since 1951.
“Yeah, it’s frustrating,” Gundy said of losing after an open week. “But the thing that’s impressive was the crowd. I hated it for the crowd. They had the blackout. They showed up. They were loud and very supportive. I hated that part of it. We just have to continue to get better at what we do. I’ll say this: They played hard right to the end. I think you guys saw that. They competed and tried to put themselves in a position. We needed it in the middle of the first quarter.”
