Eric Morris Flips Wake Forest OL Commit Eli Holbrook to Oklahoma State
STILLWATER – The first commitment of the Eric Morris era is officially on the books as Eli Holbrook, a three-star offensive lineman, has flipped from Wake Forest to Oklahoma State the night before signing day.
Holbrook checks in at 6-3, 295 pounds and is out of Arlington (TX) HS in the 2026 class. He had been committed to Wake Forest since June 8, just two days after an official visit and three days after the Demon Deacon coaching staff offered him.]
Morris and Co. had recruiting Holbrook while they were at North Texas, which is one of the more than 10 offers he holds. The others are Fordham, New Mexico, Texas State, Tulsa, UNLV and Wake Forest among others.
“I’ve wanted to be a Poke the entire time,” Holbrook told Pokes Report. “I was offered a day ago and that was all it took. It’s strange but I’ve always wanted to wear orange and play at Oklahoma State. I’m excited that Coach Morris is going to be there.”
Holbrook is a multi-sport athlete, competing in the shot put, posting a season-best throw of 49-0.5
Holbrook had visited Oklahoma State unofficially in the spring but was not offered at that time. He is now and committed.
