Kollin Ritchie Moves Into Rarified Air on Oklahoma State Home Run List
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s 12-7 win over ORU last night won’t move the needle when it comes to the RPI or the selection committee, and it most likely won’t play a role in getting the Cowboys a better position in a better NCAA Regional. However, it was the Pokes’ first win over ORU since 2024.
The Golden Eagles had won seven out of the last 10 games against the Pokes, including five in Stillwater.
But the hot streak the Cowboys have been on continued Tuesday night, which included four home runs last night. Alex Conover hit two home runs, Avery Ortiz hit a grand slam in the top of the sixth inning and Kollin Ritchie hit a solo shot in the six, which put him in some rarified air.
Ritchie’s homer last night gave him 28 on the season, which is second nationally and puts him fifth all-time in program history. It was also his 50th career home run, which is tied for ninth all-time in program history and three away from his head coach Josh Holliday, who sits in eighth.

With three regular season games left against Arizona, Ritchie has a chance to make his way into at least a tie for second, if not sole possession of the record. While he won’t pass Inky, he can certainly make some ground up with the postseason.
As a team, the Cowboys are now second nationally with 124 homers on the year. Georgia is in first with 140, a team which will most likely not be passed.
