Pokes Report was Pretty Darn Accurate on Cowboys Depth Chart Projection, Check It Out
STILLWATER – I will always tell you when I am wrong. I do that on the radio, always have. The beauty of doing that, complete media honesty is that when I’m right and I’m right a lot then I don’t mind squawking about it. The Oklahoma State depth chart came out on Tuesday (Sept. 1). That is the official one. Our final projection of the depth chart came out on Saturday and you would have found it to be highly accurate.
Now, the real depth chart has a lot of “ors” between names. Many of those are rotational positions, some might be a little political (don’t want to hurt any feelings), but using a simple one point system for correct starter and back-up at every offensive and defensive position as well as specialists there is a maximum 23 on offense as we count to three at quarterback. There are 22 points available on defense and 10 on special teams as we did not designate a kickoff specialist or holder.
Here is how we came out:
Offense 21-of-23
Defense 20-of-22
Specialist 10-of-10
Total 51-of-55
Now, I know that no longer being on the radio crew that I’ve lost some insight, but some of that has changed period with the new coaching staff. I do believe, and Zach Lancaster told me to emphasize this. I’m still pretty good with the insight on Oklahoma State football and Zach asked me to write that is why you should subscribe.
