STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is set to return two starters this Saturday against West Virginia. During his weekly radio show, Eric Morris announced the return of tight end Oscar Hammond.
The updated depth chart on Tuesday showed the return of right guard Joseph Hanson.
“Super excited to get (Hammond) back,” Morris said. “By far our most athletic tight end, and somebody that you can use in the passing game, and our best route-runner, our best pass-catcher out there at tight end. Excited to get him back in the lineup this week.”
Hammond, listed at 6-3, 243 pounds, transferred back to Oklahoma State with Eric Morris and Co. during the offseason, his second stint in Stillwater. This past season, Hammond had 19 catches for 238 yards and a touchdown.
In his absence, Carson Kolb had four catches for 23 yards and two touchdowns.
Hammond has missed the first three games of the season following an injury in fall camp.
As for Hanson, he returns from an injury against Oregon.
“Joseph’s back; had a great week of practice and excited to get him back,” Morris said on the radio show. “(He) got banged up in the Oregon game and wanted to come back. He was not very happy with trainers, doctors, me on the sideline because they wouldn’t allow him to go back in. So, yeah excited to get him back.”
