STILLWATER – Oklahoma State football is rolling early in the 2026-27 season as they check in at No. 19 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll following the 41-24 win over West Virginia on the road.
This marks the Pokes’ first appearance in the poll in more than two years.
The Cowboys are now 3-1 on the season following the win over the Mountaineers on Saturday night, a win which snapped a 19-game Big 12 losing streak, which dates back more than a thousand days to the loss to Texas in the Big 12 title game in 2023.
Despite the loss to Tulsa, the Cowboys bounced back in a big way to upset No. 6 Oregon in week two, which quickly propelled the Pokes into the national spotlight. The Cowboys are averaging just over 37 points per game, while throwing for 327 yards and rushing for 221 yards per game.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Cowboys are holding opponents to just under 20 points per game and 158 passing and 158 rushing yards per game.
This week marks an open week for the Pokes before they play host to UCF on Oct. 10.
