Oklahoma State Flips Former 2027 Mississippi State DB Commit J'Lynnd Kellow
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has landed a second defensive commitment in as many days, this time flipping a former SEC commitment.
J’lynnd Kellow, a defensive back out of Texas, took to social media on Thursday to announce his commitment to the Pokes.
Kellow, who checks in at 6-2, 180 pounds out of Willis (TX) HS, took an official visit to Stillwater back on June 4. He visited Mississippi State on May 28, Arkansas June 5 and Iowa State on June 12, but committed to MSU the week after visiting Stillwater.
He holds offers from Arkansas, BYU, Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan State, Texas Tech and Wisconsin among others.
The Wildkats out of Willis are currently 6-2 on the season, with Kellow recording 21 total tackles in seven games, nine of which are solo stops. He also has 11 pass break ups.
They went 11-3 during Kellow’s junior season, with him recorded 46 total tackles, 14 pass break ups and two forced fumbles.
Kellow joins Stillwater linebacker and former Baylor commit Bryson Brown, giving the Cowboys 15 commitments in the 2027 cycle and seven on the defensive side of the ball.
