Pokes Report Podcast No. 10: Bob Bowlsby-ESPN News, Cowboy Football Recruiting Update
STILLWATER – Just when we thought things surrounding OU and Texas to the SEC would starting to die down a bit, Wednesday afternoon brought a new layer of confusion and madness to the discussion.
It was announced late Wednesday afternoon that Big 12 Commission Bob Bowlsby had sent a letter to ESPN to cease and desist “all actions that may harm the conference and its members and that it not communicate with the Big 12 Conference's existing members or any NCAA conference regarding the Big 12 conference's members, possible conference realignment or potential financial incentive or outcomes related to possible conference realignment."

Bowlsby stated he had evidence ESPN had reached out to other conferences regarding scooping up remaining Big 12 teams and bringing them into said conferences. Multiple sources later confirmed the main conference in question that ESPN spoke with was the American Athletic Conference, the AAC.
While things on the recruiting front for Oklahoma State has gotten quite as we’re in the end of July, Marshall Levenson gave an update on things to look out for throughout the fall and 2021 season.
More updates came throughout the evening following the recording of this podcast.
