Watch: Mike Gundy's West Virginia Postgame Press Conference
Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy met with the media following the Cowboys’ 24-3 win over the West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday.
The win came thanks in large part to a stellar defensive performance. The Cowboys held WVU to just 133 yards of total offense, 116 yards through the air and just 17 yards on the ground.
The main reason for the such a low number of yardage on the ground comes from the fact the Cowboys sacked WVU quarterback Jarret Doege eight times for a loss of 75-yards.
However, Spencer Sanders and Tay Martin had it dialed in today as the two connected for two touchdowns on fades to the corner of the end zone. Sanders finished the day going 21-of-31 for 182 yards and two touchdowns, while Martin hauled in seven catches for 63 yards and the two touchdowns.
Jaylen Warren carried the ball 16 times for 78 yards and one touchdown.
The Cowboys are back in action on Nov. 13 as they play host to TCU for a blackout game. The program is also honoring the great Barry Sanders with a statue and an induction into the Cowboy football Ring of Honor.
