He signed a contract to earn the right to sign a contract? How much is that exactly?
Oklahoma State's AJ Ferrari Signs NIL Deal With WWE
Another Oklahoma State athlete has signed an NIL deal, but it’s easily the biggest deal any of them have signed. Cowboy wrestler AJ Ferrari has officially signed with WWE.
Out of all the NIL deals signed across the country since the summer, this one might make the most sense.
The WWE launched their NIL program on Dec. 2, Next In Line, which includes some of the top athletes in the NIL world, including Olympic gold medal wrestler, Gable Steveson and the Cavender twins from Fresno State.
“All athlete partnerships will feature access to the state-of-the-art WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla., in addition to resources across the organization including brand building, media training, communications, live event promotion, creative writing and community relations. Upon completion of the NIL program, select athletes may earn an exclusive opportunity to be offered a WWE contract.”
Ferrari is the perfect candidate for this oppurtunity as he’s one of the biggest personalities to ever come through Oklahoma State. He’s called out the OU baseball team while ripping a tank top off, then backed that up by calling the OU football team out a few weeks ago at Bedlam.
With his personality, work ethic and athleticism, don’t be surprised if you see the WWE take advantage of the last part of their statement and offer Ferrari an exclusive contract.
