Oklahoma State-Miami Cheez-It Bowl Game Thread
After nearly a month, it’s finally game day for Oklahoma State once again! The No. 21 Cowboys are in Orlando, FL for a Cheez-It Bowl showdown with the No. 18 Miami Hurricanes. This is the second all-time match-up between these two programs with the Hurricanes taking the first meeting in 1991, 40-3.
Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
Big news came for the Cowboys a few hours before kickoff when Pokes Report’s Robert Allen broke that senior linebacker Malcolm Rodiguez will be returning for a ‘super senior’ season. One of the Pokes’ leading tacklers will be a huge boost in the 2021 season.
“I’m really happy,” defensive coordinator Jim Knowles said. “He hadn’t told me that, but I’m happy because Malcolm is a good player and good leader. He gets guys down. He can really tackle. He will make us better next season.”
This also happens to be the last game for both Dillon Stoner and Tylan Wallace. Stoner announced his intentions to move on last week and Wallace confirmed his intentions during a press conference earlier this week.
PREGAME
The Cowboys will be wearing a classic road look when they take they field. They’ll be sporting their black helmets with a chrome orange brand logo, white jerseys and pants and their black cleats.
