2022 Berryhill Offensive Lineman Davis Dotson Commits to Oklahoma State
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State thought they might be done with the 2022 class when they signed 17 prospects in the December signing period but over the last few weeks, some names came to light that the Cowboys had some serious interest in. One of these prospects was Berryhill, Oklahoma, offensive lineman, Davis Dotson.
Dotson, who earned his offer from Oklahoma State on only January 24, has now committed to the Cowboys, he announced on Twitter.
Dotson’s recruitment was fairly active among some smaller schools last summer and it ramped up with some power five offers during his senior season. As soon as the season ended though, he blew up in a way earning offers from Texas Tech, TCU, SMU, Washington State, Virginia, and most recently, the Pokes.
His recruitment came down to Oklahoma State and TCU.
At 6’6 and 290 pounds, Dotson should have a larger recruitment earlier on, but I’m sure Davis would agree with the phrase of “Better late than never.”
With his commitment and soon-to-be signing, the 2021 Oklahoma All-State honoree becomes the fourth offensive lineman of the 2022 class for the Cowboys, joining Tyrone Webber, Calvin Harvey, and Austin Kawecki. He also joins in-state prospects Talyn and Tabry Shettron, CJ Brown, Braylin Presley, Desean Brown, Mason Gilkey, Jaleel Johnson, and Gabe Brown. The nine in-state additions are one of the most ever in a recruiting class for Mike Gundy.
