No. 12 Oklahoma State is set for the first Bedlam dual of the season, the first one taking place down in Norman on Sunday afternoon beginning at 2:30 CT.

The dual marks the 185th all-time meeting between the two progams and will be televised on ESPNU.

The Cowboys are currently 3-1 on the season, with wins over Lehigh, Bucknell and Wyoming. They are, however, fresh off an 18-12 loss to Minnesota in Stillwater this past weekend.

The Sooners are 2-1 on the season, with wins over Buffalo and Little Rock, but dropped a road dual to Lehigh.

The Cowboys currently lead the series 147-27-10, while holding a 63-15-8 lead over the Sooners down in Norman.

The Sooners are set to leave the Big 12 at some point in the next couple of seasons. However, OSU head coach John Smith still sees the series getting played in the future.

“I think we will still see Bedlam wrestling,” Smith said to the media this week. “I don’t see any reason why we wouldn’t do that. It sure wouldn’t be healthy for the sport if we didn’t see Bedlam wrestling. I just don’t see that it’s better that we’re not wrestling.

“Hopefully we learned from that because here they (Missouri) are back in 10 years, 11 years later – when we wanted it to happen 10 years, 11 years ago,” Smith continued. “We had to work every year to get them back home, so I don’t think we’re in that situation (with Oklahoma).”

An Oklahoma State Win Would...

  • Move the Cowboys to 4-1 overall; 2-0 in conference duals
  • Make the all-time series record 148-27-10 and 12-6 in Stillwater
  • Extend OSU's winning streak against the Sooners to 16
  • Move John Smith's record to 55-6-3 against OU
