Former Oklahoma State tackle Teven Jenkins has made it official with the Chicago Bears. It was announced on Wednesday Jenkins had signed his rookie contract with one of the NFL’s oldest franchises, completing the Bears’ 2021 draft class.

It’s a four-year contract worth $8,387,848, with $3,460,252 coming in bonuses. $5,261,518 of the contract is fully guaranteed.

Jenkins was taken in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft with the No. 39 overall pick. He was one of the top tackle prospects coming out of college this past year, with Pro Football Focus giving him an overall grade of 92. He missed the last three games of the regular season, as well as the bowl game, following an injury suffered against OU. However, prior to the injury, in the last two seasons, he went 623 pass block opportunities without allowing a sack. He gave up two hits and two hurries in 2020 and no hits with seven hurries in 2019.

A member of the 2016 recruiting class, Jenkins was a two-time Kansas All-State selection out of Topeka High School and that performance carried over to Oklahoma State once he cracked the starting lineup in 2017. He’d start just three games during the 2017 season, but all 13 in the 2018 season, the first five at right tackle, then three at left tackle before moving back to the right side.
