STILLWATER – Everybody loves the idea that they may be seeing the very best there ever was. The latest term GOAT is making so called experts and historians on topics try to come up with the right answers and the true definition or distinction of greatness. This season, if I was trading places with any Oklahoma State assistant coach, I think it would be safeties coach Dan Hammerschmidt.

Big thing to me is, the safety group can't end up as successful as you'd like without solid corners and the six guys up front on and behind the DL being high quality and successful. But what's exciting to me is, we may have the GOAT defensive unit overall considering having 5 or 6 NFL possible starting and solid, quality depth at virtually every position. This is a solid UT or OU type defensive talent group situation coached by a very high quality coordinator IMO.

I think the difference is that at least two maybe all three of these guys have a chance to play a good long while at the next level. Rod Brown played for maybe a couple of years in the NFL and Mark Moore I believe played for four years in Seattle. I would like to see the same type of production in gaining turnovers that you saw from Brown and Moore.
