Cowboys Land Commitment From Sleeper Prospect Nathan Latu Out Of Snow College
The 2021 recruiting class is entering its final stretch ahead of the early signing period which will take place next week, but Oklahoma State is making sure its class is full ahead of time.
On Friday the Cowboys just landed a commitment from Snow College defensive end Nathan Latu.
Latu was orginally in the class of 2018 and signed with BYU out of Olympus High School but had a delay in his high school graduation and was not able to enroll at BYU and went instead to Snow Community College. He played for Snow as a freshman and then practiced with Snow this fall as the school did not have a competitive fall football season like most junior colleges. Latu’s twin brother Cameron is a sophomore tight end for the University of Alabama that has played in all of the Tides games this season, primarily on special teams.
Last season at Snow (2019) he had 21 total tackles, 17 unassisted tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and three fumbles forced.
Latu, who is 6’4 255 pounds has three years of eligibility remaining due to COVID-19 adding a year on for current players.

Although he is a name that has not been on many peoples radar, this was a great find and recruitment of OSU’s Player Development Specialist, Benny Tonga. Tonga has been known to be a key recruiter on the west coast. Latu also had offers from UNLV, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana State, and Missouri State.
Latu will sign next Wednesday with most of the Oklahoma State recruiting class. He makes the 19th commitment in the ‘21 class, the 11th on the defensive side of the ball.
