Owasso Gets Opening Win Over Santa Fe and Shettrons
EDMOND – Owasso scored first, but Edmond Santa Fe, starting four sophomores on a rebuilt defense, hung in there most of the first half. The Rams drove down for an early score and then Edmond Santa Fe counters as quarterback Scott Pfieffer found Oklahoma State commitment Talyn Shettron for a 47-yard touchdown. Shettron then caught a two-point conversion to give the Wolves an 8-7 lead that would be their last of the contest as Owasso came away with a 45-22 win on the road to open the season.
