Mike Gundy Texas Postgame Press Conference
Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy addressed the media following the Cowboys’ 32-24 win over No. 25 Texas down in Austin.
The Cowboys have now won six of the last seven games against the Longhorns down in Austin. They’ve also won their third-straight game over an AP Top 25 opponent, marking the first occasion in school history.
The offense was led by redshirt senior running back Jaylen Warren once again. While he didn’t get into the end zone, he carried the ball 33 times for 193 yards. The Pokes combined for 398 yards of total offense, 178 coming through the air and 220 yards on the ground, while the defense held Texas to 317 yards of total offense just 92 yards coming in the second half.
Safety Jason Taylor II finally recorded his first interception of the year, an 85-yard pick six in the second quarter. Tanner McCallister also recorded an interception in today’s game late in the fourth quarter to seal the win, his first of the season as well.
