STILLWATER – The game plan for a four-quarter effort and a fourth quarter win 32-24 over Texas in Austin started the day after the Cowboys 24-14 win over what is now a 6-1 Baylor team. Mike Gundy planted the seed on that Sunday when the players came into meet and watch video and put the win over the Bears away and move into the bye week.

“I’ll be honest, I told them two Sundays ago and last Sunday. ‘You’re in better shape. We are in better condition.

Glad he said Knowles needs a raise simply because it's true. Knowles is why we're undefeated. However, not sure it was appropriate for a player to get involved with salary negotiations. That might not sit very well with the people making the that call.

Hold on there, Guitar. Take your foot off the hyperbole pedal.

No one on the team is a part of negotiating anyone's contract. He was merely stating what MANY OF US COWBOY FANS are thinking --- Knowles must be paid!

Knowles has earned this.
We'll see what Weinberg does, but Gundy has already (and oh so politically) stated how good it was to have an OSU President and AD that understand the importance of a winning football team to the growth and financial support of this university.
They're both smart people and realize this man's contribution to oSu's success.
I know there are rules, but do we really want to follow them now?

Yes, it sounds like a much different contract philosophy with Weiberg. And to be fair with Martin, the media brought that up, that question was asked at the press conference. I think it was the guy from the Tulsa paper that asked, I don't know if you can do mid-season raises, but Knowles deserves one.
