Pokes in the NFL: Week 6

It was a solid week of action for the former Oklahoma State football players in the NFL, especially for running back Chuba Hubbard, who’s been getting the first team reps with Christian McCaffrey on the sidelines with an injury.

Chuba Hubbard: Carolina Panthers

The Panthers fought back to tie the game at 28 and force overtime with the Minnesota Vikings. However, the Vikings struck first in overtime, winning 34-28. Hubbard had one of the best games of his young NFL career as he carried the ball 16 times for 61 yards and his first-career touchdown.

Hubbard’s up to 56 carries for 220 yards and one touchdown, as well as 12 receptions for 78 yards in his rookie season. Carolina faces the Giants in New York this weekend with a noon CT game on FOX (check your local listing).

Emmanuel Ogbah: Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 23-20, in London this past weekend. E-Man recorded three total tackles, two of which were solo stops, one sack, one tackle for loss, one pass break up and one quarterback hit.

The Dolphins host the Atlanta Falcons this weekend with a noon CT kick on FOX (check your local listing).

Amen Ogbongbemiga: Los Angeles Chargers

Amen had a monster game, the best of his rookie season so far, in the 34-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He was tied for a team-high eight total tackles, three of which were solo stops. Through the four games he’s played in, Ogbongbemiga has nine total tackles, four of which have been solo stops.

The Chargers will host the New England Patriots next weekend as they have this weekend off. It’ll be a 3:05 p.m. CT kick on CBS (check your local listing)

Blake Jarwin: Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys found a way past the New England Patriots in over time this past Sunday, 35-29. While he was only thrown to once, former cowboy back Blake Jarwin made the most of it as he hauled in a one-yard pass for a touchdown.

Dallas has a bye this weekend and will travel to Minnesota on Oct. 31 for the Sunday Night Football game at 7:20 p.m. CT on NBC.
