Not Deja Vu, But It Feels Slightly Similar to 2011

AMES, Iowa – Actually, I’m back home again, but everything happened on Saturday in Ames, Iowa. Oklahoma State suffered it’s first loss of the season 24-21 to Iowa State. No surprises, the game played out similar to the way many of us thought it would. These are two good football teams, like they have been for several years now.

Been there with Orange on every game. Proud of the determination from these kids. Looking forward to Homecoming and I'm with you Robert, the crowds have been off in number and enthusiasm. I thought Sanders had his best game of the year. He was on and it seemed the coaches missed an opportunity to open it up a bit more. Iowa State was keying on the run. Here is to hoping our coaches open that offense up a bit and we win the rest of them.

P.S. - The students have been awesome this year at games. The rest of the crowd needs to show up with similar enthusiasm.

I totally agree with your assessment of our crowd. The students are great, but I sit on the 50 on the South side and I'm always amazed that people don't stand and yell, especially on defense. But, I'll keep standing and yelling and trying to get them off their asses.

Purdy completed, I believe 82%. That's hard to beat and with both teams selling out to stop the run that was the difference. I thought Sanders had another good game and is getting better each week. His biggest problem overall is protection and drops. Agree on the calls, at least two PI calls on us were bogus, but in a close game like that the 4th down spot was unforgivable.

Some of the remarks that I've seen about Spencer Sanders' play are from idiots, football numbskulls. Sanders played well with 254-yards of total offense, three touchdown passes.

LOL - good one Robert... HA HA

That was the best played loss I think I've ever seen... good golly.

I believe I am the idiot numbskull that you were referring too... and I believe I also said nothing bad about Sanders other than 225 yards passing is not enough to win a game like that, and a passing QB might have fared better. (which apparently is true, and which also apparently makes people numbskulls).

good gosh Robert, when did you too buy into this woke cancel culture? You're casting dispersions on OSU fans and brothern, for no constructive purpose. I never ever expected to see yellow journalism come from you.

Frankly, I expect better from you.
