ROUND ROCK, Texas – Oklahoma State battled Texas Tech to a scoreless draw Sunday at the Big 12 Soccer Championship, but the Cowgirls bowed out of the tournament as the Red Raiders advanced on penalty kicks by a 5-4 count at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.

The fourth-seeded Cowgirls are now 9-6-3 on the season, while TTU, the No. 5 seed, is 11-5-3. The two teams also tied earlier this season in Lubbock, Texas.

The Red Raiders finished with a 16-11 advantage in shots in the match and also owned an 11-7 edge in corner kicks.

OSU freshman Evie Vitali posted her seventh shutout of the season, tallying seven saves along the way. The seven clean sheets is tied for the seventh most in a single season in Cowgirl history.

After managing just two shots in the opening half, OSU was much more dangerous over the final 65 minutes, recording nine shots during that span.

But neither team would be able to find the back of the net through 110 minutes, forcing things to be decided with a penalty kick shootout.

Both teams converted their first three attempts, with Grace Yochum, Kim Rodriguez and Ally Jackson finding the net for the Cowgirls.

TTU would take a 4-3 edge when Ashleigh Williams converted before OSU's Samiah Phiri had her shot stopped by Red Raider goalie Madison White.

Up next, it would be Vitali making a save, and Charmé Morgan converted to tie the shootout at 4-4.

The final two shots both deflected off the crossbar. However, Jordie Harr's attempt bounced down and over the line, while Summer Chaffin's chance smacked off the bar and caromed away.
