He refused to cooperate with the NCAA, so the only violations that could be determined were those related to the criminal fraud charges. We know he funnelled some money to Carroll only because there were FBI communications about his involvement, but we don't know what else could have occured.

Many (most) NCAA violations do not involve criminal fraud, so there is simply no way to know what really went on, which is why the NCAA was so harsh with their penalty.

agree or disagree with the NCAA ruling, but there must be effective consequences to compel teams/coaches to participate in their investigations. (I get that Evans likely had a good attorney, and was instructed not to speak with anybody about anything... so what is left?)
