Pokes in the NFL: Week 9

It’s kind of hard to believe that we’re already through the first nine weeks of the NFL season. Let’s take a look at how the former Oklahoma State football players in the league performed this past weekend.

In honor of the solid defensive performance we’re getting out of Jim Knowles’ unit this season, let’s start with a solid defensive performance.

Emmanuel Ogbah - Miami Dolphins

E-Man had one of the best performances out of the Pokes in the league over the weekend, as he finally broke his seven-game streak without a sack, recorded 2.5 against the Texans.

He also recorded four tackles, two tackles for loss, three quarterback hits and a pass deflection.

The Dolphins beat the Texans 17-9 and will host the Ravens for the Thursday night game of the week at 7:20 p.m. CT on FOX and the NFL Network.

Chuba Hubbard - Carolina Panthers

Starting running back Christian McCaffrey is finally back for the Panthers, so Chuba dropped back down in the depth chart. However, he was second on the team in receiving yards with 33 on a nice little play.

The Panthers got smoked by the Patriots, 24-6, but will travel to Arizona this weekend for a chance to get back in the win column. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. CT on FOX (check your local listing).

Matt Ammendola - New York Jets

Philly Ammendola’s season continues to go well, even though the Jets lost to the Colts, 45-30. Ammendola went 1-for-1 on field goals, with a long of 33-yards, and 3-for-3 on extra points.

The Jets host the Bills this weekend with a noon CT kick on CBS (check your local listing).

Blake Jarwin - Dallas Cowboys: IR

Jarwin injured his hip against the Minnesota Vikings in week eight, so he’s on the injured reserves list for at least the next three weeks.
