STILLWATER --- Oklahoma State added one major college transfer on signing day and you can bet that they will continue to monitor the NCAA transfer portal for additional possibilities as they have a few players to add between now and the February signing date. Utah State running back Jaylen Warren, a product of Salt Lake City East High School, where he proceeded current safety Nick Session, and Snow Community College. Warren proved himself at Utah State.

Warren played in just three games this season before making the decision to enter the transfer portal as the season was a rocky one in Logan, Utah. Warren rushed for 252-yards and three touchdowns along with five receptions for 33-yards. Against Fresno State he had a season high 136-yards rushing that included a season long 86-yard touchdown run. Warren was respected enough to be on the Doak Walker Award Watch List.

Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy pointed out that Warren brings the OSU running back position group with more of a power back. He is similar, but a little more punch than Dezmon Jackson. The Cowboys will also return the longer and more sleek off tackle runner in Dominic Richardson. The X-factor at running back will be whether LD Brown and/or Micah Cooper return. Both are seniors but could return to help the position. Either way Warren joins the group as an every down type of back and the Cowboys add the very explosive Jaden Nixon of Frisco Lone Star High School as a big play and perimeter specialty type of running back.
