Cowboys Sign Quion Williams
STILLWATER ---- Oklahoma State men's basketball head coach Mike Boynton announced the signing of Quion Williams on Wednesday. A four-star recruit in the 2022 recruiting class according to 247Sports, the 6-for-4 guard is set to join the Cowboys as the 26th-best ranked player at his position, and the 12th-best player in the state of Texas.
Williams is the 10th Top-150 recruit to sign with Oklahoma State in the past four recruiting cycles.
"Quion Williams is a high valued addition to our program," Boynton said. "He gives us another versatile perimeter player who exudes toughness and a great will to win. Q can defend four positions well and is a great teammate who values hard work. His best basketball is definitely ahead of him."
A native of Mansfield, Texas, Williams is regarded as a two-way guard who is widely praised for his motor and work ethic on the court.
This past season, he helped lead Mansfield Legacy High School to the third round of the playoffs after averaging 24 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks per game.
Williams picked OSU over Cincinnati, Georgia, Houston and Kansas State, according to Rivals.
