Hope You Enjoyed Bedlam Because Win Over Sooners Was Costly in Big 12 Game

ARLINGTON, Texas – I’ve noticed that the older I get, the more that I just flat out say or write what I truly think. You kind of lose some filter in favor of just making sure you get your point across. That locker room underneath AT&T Cowboys Stadium was one of the most gut wrenching that I’ve ever been in.

Great year with offensive issues all year long. In that context, probably overachieved to some degree. The saddest part is when you're elite on one side of the ball you just needed to be good on the other. Too often we weren't good and it led to tight fits and two disappointments.

Sure wish it could have happened for all these players but you have to go take it when the opportunity is there. OSU fans are used to having incomplete teams that struggle on one side of the ball or other and that part gets really old when trying to make that step to be among the elite. All we experience is being shown we aren't elite! Good but not elite. Hopefully some Poke team will experience being elite in a future magical season.

Proud of our team and coaches. Great year overall. Not only were the Cowboys physically down some after Bedlam, but a very good Baylor team was likely inspired by the fact OSU had won the last time they met.

The difference was our offensive line got pushed around the entire game. Plus, Baylor got every break in the game, Yet, we still should have won. Amazing! Their team has plenty of grit and fight in them. As tough as this loss is to swallow, you have to be proud of the players and coaches.

One huge name, Godlevske, he was so key to our offensive line. Michalski did a nice job but Danny totally negated the big nose tackle in the first game against Baylor this season. I really really hope Danny gets to play in this final game of his career wherever that may be. This young man has been tremendous this season.

the difference was our QB turned the ball over... make no mistake about it.

it's the same every year, but this year our defense could overcome the mistakes most times, including Bedlam.

hopefully we get the correct QB into the starting lineup next year.

Thanks for the memories team...

Those refs cost the Big 12 millions of dollars.

This loss hurts worse than any I can remember. The stakes were the highest ever and it would've been the biggest win in modern Cowboy Football history. (I know, no one hurts more than the players)

The impact of our turnovers was obvious. Missing Warren had a obvious negative impact too. The offensive and defensive lines were dominated by Baylor the whole game. We hardly put any pressure on their QB.

Our O-line is built to pass protect or zone block. We don't have bulldozers or road graders up front. So I'm just not surprised we can't get a yard when we need it most. It doesn't make it any less disappointing.

Hopefully this team will still get to play in a bowl game fitting an 11-2 record. Not the Alamo.

We all enjoyed Bedlam! Who that loves OSU didn't?

Christ, Bedlam victories come along so infrequently that you'd be a liar if you said otherwise! Hell yes I loved the Bedlam win, but this was an epically squandered opportunity just like in 2013.

Just think, lost to the goons in OT in 2012, blew 2013, my guy ran it back in 2014 literally could've had a 4 yr win streak against the goons w a conference championship or two in the fold as well! You don't think recruiting would've improved, or our national narrative would've improved w going to the Sugar bowl and beating A SEC team that year? This was an incalculable loss of massive proportions. Gundy, and the dept. can Spin this loss how they want, but yeah, at this point I'll take a bedlam win at BPS any day of the week because every fan in that stadium that night, myself, my sophomore son at OSU , my daughter that is the only "OSU fan" at her catholic school in OKC, can/will be bought in forever because of that night and the pride they got because of that win. So yeah, Bedlam was worth it. And, honestly, that's our high-water mark. Our ceiling. That was our crowning achievement. And always will be.

That being said, we didn't lose yesterday because of Bedlam. We lost yesterday because of incredibly bad qb play and incredibly bad Offensive Coaching and schemes.

Plain and simple, if you've got a running back playing quarterback, then utilize his skill set at key moments (especially when your stud rb is out), to maximize him and mix it up! Along w moving the pocket, etc etc

We lost yesterday because we got out coached like we typically do in important games. I'm not going into the play by play analysis, but if another coaching staff can have "eye candy" and different looks to the best D in the country, and a FRESHMAN qb look pretty good against the second or third best D in the country for an entire half … why couldn't we be somewhat similar in the coaching department? They had the same amount of time to prepare, right????

All because Of Danny and Warren? Danny didn't play in Bedlam! We knew Warren was hurt! Why were our plans on offense that bad? Out coached on O plain and simple.

Again, I'm preaching to the choir (mostly) here, it was loud as hell in there yesterday and the crowd (we) tried to will us to a win and we were hamstrung because of Bedlam?!?!?!? Well, then next year let's whip their ass and be done with the series because clearly it ain't worth it, if a win causes a loss!

Baylor … all the scandal, all the coaches … and we are better than them, but they have 3 times the trophies to show for it than we do, huh?

At least we get to play in the fiesta bowl. Nice.

How'd you feel last Sunday morning versus this Sunday morning? Yeah, me too.

So yeah, I'll take the Bedlam win anytime.

Go Cowboys

Couldn't have said it better. You absolutely spot on. We were the defense allowed us to be in the game at the end with four qb interceptions and the horrible offensive play calling.

What? The defensive line was hardly dominated. How many sacks??? 6? They got 36 total yards in the 2nd half and all of their scoring drives started on OSU's side of the field and 1 being at the 11.
