Oklahoma State Nabs Two AP All-America Honors
STILLWATER – The postseason All-America honors continue to pour in for Oklahoma State as both Malcolm Rodriguez and Kolby Harvell-Peel were named to the Associated Press All-America team on Monday.
Rodriguez was named to the Second Team and Harvell-Peel to the Third Team and are two of just six Big 12 players to make the lists. This marks the second NCAA recognized All-America honor, but he’s received honors from several national publications, such as ESPN, USA Today, The Athletic and CBS Sports, over the past few weeks with other publications set to release their All-America teams over the coming days.
This was a huge season for Rodriguez as he led the team and the Big 12 in total tackles with 119, while helping lead the Cowboy defense nationally in both sacks and tackles for loss. He finished the season with 15 tackles for loss, three sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Following the season, Rodriguez earned First Team All-Big 12 honors by both the coaches and the Associated Press, marking his third-straight season earning All-Big 12 honors.
As for Harvell-Peel, he finished the season with 59 total tackles, 35 of which were solo stops, three interceptions and two pass break ups.
Following the season, Harvell-Peel earned First Team All-Big 12 honors by both the AP and the Big 12 coaches.
Pokes Report will continue to keep tabs on All-America honors and will update the list should Malcolm receive any other nominations in the coming days.
