Cowboys Running Back Dezmon Jackson Enters Transfer Portal
The Cowboys now have their third entry to the transfer portal as it is being reported by On3.com that running back Dezmon Jackson will transfer.
Jackson was a signee in the 2019 class from Hutchinson Community College. He has spent three seasons at Oklahoma State, playing in only 15 games, finishing with 686 yards and six touchdowns.
He was a redshirt senior this season but will have one year of eligibility left due to COVID-19 rules.
The Cowboys will be losing Jaylen Warren and now Dezmon Jackson at the conclusion of the season. Dominic Richardson, Jaden Nixon, and Zach Middleton are the remaining scholarship backs along with the incoming Ollie Gordon and CJ Brown.
As of right now, Dominic Richardson is set to be the No. 1 back in the room with Nixon right behind him. Middleton would be third and could push for playing time as well as Gordon and Brown, who are both 4-star signees in the 2022 class.
