Talyn Shettron Earning High Praise Amidst a Dominant All-American Game Week

While this week is a busy one for the Cowboys players and coaches as they prepare for the Fiesta Bowl, it is also a busy week for one of their future wideouts, Talyn Shettron.

Shettron is in Orlando, Florida, to participate in the Under Armour All American Game. Shettron is part of “Team Legends” as one of their top receivers. He has been going through practice this week as well as combine type drills and workouts preparing for the headliner game at Camping World Stadium on Sunday, January 2nd.

These types of events produce tons of social media buzz, especially among the top performers, which Shettron seems to be right now, which should come as no surprise to Oklahoma State or Edmond Santa Fe fans.

Charles Power of On3Sports tweeted out a video of Talyn running a crisp route leading to a touchdown catch against elite Alabama cornerback signee Trequon Fegans.

Shettron has also been named to several publications’ “Top Performers” list throughout the week.

Jeremy Crabtree, who is the Senior Recruiting Editor for On3, gave a quote saying “Oklahoma State wide receiver signee Talyn Shettron had a strong outing during 7-on-7 drills for Team Legends. At one point the DBs on the sidelines all agreed that “he can’t be covered” and “that dude is good.”

Being unable to cover Talyn Shettron has been a common theme amongst his opponents, no matter whether in Oklahoma Preps or All-American matchups.

Quite the upgrade in talent, maturity and depth adding Tayln, his TE brother and Presley II to our current group of younger players, losing only Tay and getting back a senior speedster perhaps in Brayden Johnson.

I would guess that Dez Bryant could not be covered either. Question is, will the Cowboys have a QB that can exploit his talent.

Of course we have the QB talent! And another talented signal caller enroute.

the question is whether Gundy will play the talented QB on the roster that can exploit his talent...

I'm guessing no, based on this past season.

Gundy made sure to red-shirt Shane for a reason.... although I would place winning now over winning in the future.

either way, I'm 100% positive that any new freshman QB will not see the light of day next year.

What do you mean? Are you saying Gundy didn't play the best QB? SS was first team All Big 12. He only played poorly in two games, and he was the offensive MVP of the Fiesta Bowl!

oh please, spare me the cherry picked stats and the drama.

ND played without their star RB, and it showed... same as OSU without Warren in the B12 champ game.

I realize that many of you love to love Sanders, but I'm not on that wagon.

We should have been undefeated this season, no if's, and's or butts.

I'm not going to debate it with you. I hope we can move to a passing QB for next years. (plural)

Honestly think Garnett Rangel will ,not to sure about Spencer Sanders I mean he did with Tylan Wallace we'll see we have a strong receiving core this 22 season

Uh ok. I'm happy to pass on that. I don't debate/ discuss with people who already have their minds made up.
