I guess perhaps he believes that OSU does not use the TE sufficiently to show-case his talents?
something else?
STILLWATER – Another Oklahoma State football player has entered his name into the transfer portal. Cowboy back Jelani Woods has entered the transfer portal and will try to find another school. It was first reported by 247Sports.
The NCAA has granted a free, one-time transfer this year due to COVID-19.
Pokes Report has learned Woods first told head coach Mike Gundy and cowboy backs coach Jason McEndoo of his intention to transfer following the Baylor game last week. Woods told the coaches that he wanted to try and play closer to home.
Woods is a 6-7, 275-pound cowboy back (tight end) out of Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, GA. He came to Oklahoma State as a quarterback prospect, but was quickly converted to cowboy back due to his size.
This season as a junior, Woods hauled in eight receptions for 129 yards and one touchdown. For his career, Woods finished with 31 receptions for 361 yards and four touchdowns.
While he wasn’t thrown to often, Woods was a dangerous weapon for the Pokes when he was utilized and will leave a big hole once he lands with another school.
Woods joins freshman offensive lineman Trent Pullen, who entered his name into the transfer portal last week. With the NCAA allowing a free, one-time transfer for players this year, I wouldn’t expect Woods to be the last Oklahoma State player to enter the transfer portal.

This is a real head-scratcher. Why would the starting TE transfer?

how about you just read what the board journalists said already, and just leave it at that.Bovine Lad said:CaliforniaCowboy said:

It could be that this is just JW expressing his disappointment that Gundy has apparently already forgotten how to listen so soon after learning how.
I didn't even know that our players had Representatives let alone that those Representatives are evidently go-betweens between them and the coaching staff.
