Oklahoma State Continues String of Offers to Up and Coming Prospects

In the past couple of weeks, we have seen the Oklahoma State recruiting staff send out a large number of offers to prospects in the 2023 and 2024 classes. This is often a popular time to see offers as recruiting staffs get caught up on tons of film and evaluations of young players that finished their season in December and November.

We have especially seen them on a tear of offers on the defensive side of the ball, particularly in Texas, which is exactly what this group of offers is.

Damani Maxson - Safety - 2024 - Houston Clear Lake HS

Maxson is a prospect who has seen some very early attention in the recruiting process. He holds eight offers right now from Georgia, Arkansas, Arizona State, Colorado, UTSA, and West Virginia.

Oklahoma State jumped in the mix which then led to his tweet “I Couldn’t Be More Excited To Say I Have Been Blessed to Receive a(n) Opportunity to Further My Academic and Athletic Career at Oklahoma State University!”

At 6’0 170 pounds, Maxson is already pretty physically mature, so with two more years in his high school career, Maxson look to be set up to a nationally touted prospect in the secondary.

Brandon Jones - Linebacker - 2024 - South Oak Cliff HS

Jones is yet another young prospect from Dallas that linebackers analyst Jordan Burton has set his eyes on and pulled the trigger with an offer. This is a prospect who has not seen his recruitment take off, but the Pokes offer might be the one to do it. Along with the Cowboys, he holds offers from SMU, Louisville, and Arizona State.

At 6’1 190 pounds, Jones is another prospect who has the physical tools at his disposal already. I would expect that he grows another inch or two and most certainly going to put on some mass to his frame.

As a sophomore, Jones has 89 tackles with 11 tackles for loss and two sacks.

Brandon Booker - 2024 - Linebacker - Desoto HS

Booker, who is 6’1 and 185 pounds, holds a very impressive offer sheet very early in his recruitment. The Cowboys are the newest but other teams on the table are LSU, Baylor, Texas Tech, and Toledo.

Booker had 92 total tackles in his sophomore season and considering the talent that the Desoto team can put on the field, this is very impressive feat.
