Emmanuel Ogbah Signs Contract Extension With the Miami Dolphins
STILLWATER – Emmanuel Ogbah just became one of the highest paid former Oklahoma State players in the NFL. On Monday, the Dolphins re-signed Ogbah to a four-year deal worth $65 million, with $32 million fully guaranteed at signing.
Ogbah is coming off one of his best seasons in the NFL. He recorded 34 total tackles, 19 of which were solo stops, including 24 quarterback hits and 9.0 sacks, 12 pass breakups and one forced fumble and fumble recovery apiece.
PFF had him as their No. 17 ranked free agent going into the offseason, so I think it was safe to say that following the year he had, Ogbah was going to get paid whether it was the Dolphins or not.
Ogbah was drafted in the second round by the Cleveland Browns prior to the 2016 season, where he spent three seasons wreaking havoc on the AFC North. He spent the 2019 season with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he won a Super Bowl ring, before landing in Miami where he’s spent the past two seasons.
During his two seasons in Miami, Ogbah’s recorded 76 total tackles, 44 of which have been solo stops, 18 sacks, 17 pass breakups, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
