All About Ollie? Not Yet, but He's Getting Better

STILLWATER – He showed up again in practice on Wednesday as the Cowboys were back at it after missing Monday’s practice due to a flu outbreak. Offensive tackle Caleb Etienne, the one player we knew was sick on Monday was out there and so was the player we identified as “he” in the first sentence. He is freshman running back Ollie Gordon, jersey No. 0. He may be a freshman, but he doesn’t look it at 6-1 and 215-pounds.

6'1", 230 running only 4.6 by August, Gundy said?

that doesn't sound like a RB to me. Does anybody have some impressive comparable sized RBs they can name to help me paint this picture?

Sounds like a LB or FB size

Derrick Henry measured 6'4 and 247lbs at the NFL combine when he entered the NFL draft. He ran a 4.54 forty

Nick Chubb was 5'10 and about 230lbs. He ran a 4.52 forty

Jamal Lewis was another back with size who was really good

I saw Chubb listed a tad taller at 5-11 Cal. But Perine (same height) was about 235 at OU and 240 in NFL. I always thought he was a load for the defensive side. Ollie is a bit taller, so I assume he may be more like Chuba build wise. Unsure why they would think his proper build would be 15 to 20 lbs above Hubbard. Perhaps the frame issue they aways refer to with linemen.

Thanks everyone, those are certainly some huge names...

I'm just use to OSU have speedsters not bruisers.

I still think those numbers are odd .... we're talking about entering his freshman season, not his weight/time after he's spent 4 years in the program...

When you see him play you will understand he's not 6'1 he's 6'3 and runs under 4.6. He's a glider he looks slow but nobody catches him. Google him you will see he's special!

He's taller than Chuba he's 6'3 I don't know why they are listing him at 6'1 only a inch taller than Richardson. That's why
