Cowboys Two Highest 2022 Draft Picks Square Off on Sunday, Oct 23
STILLWATER – The NFL released it’s full 2022 regular season schedule on Thursday, May 12 and while there are Oklahoma State players around the NFL there are two recent fifth round draftees that are on their way to rookie minicamps this weekend. Malcolm Rodriguez is in Detroit for the Lions rookie minicamp and his fellow starting linebacker last season that was picked just three spots behind him in the 2022 NFL Draft, Devin Harper is in Frisco for the Cowboys rookie minicamp at The Star.
Those two make their teams, as expected and they will play Sunday, Oct. 23 in AT&T Cowboys Stadium at 1 p.m. on CBS. Oklahoma State fans will be watching the Cowboys in a homecoming game the night before in Stillwater against Texas. It may be an early morning drive to go catch the former OSU duo.
Both Rodriguez and Harper will see Christian Holmes as the Washington Commanders will be at Detroit on Sept. 8. Harper and Dallas play Holmes and the Commanders on Sunday Oct. 2 in Washington and in Arlington on either Jan. 7 or 8.
A couple of other games I noticed were the Lions at Carolina and Chuba Hubbard on Christmas Eve. Rodriguez vs. Hubbard.
Also, Harper gets his first regular season NFL action against the “GOAT” Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Sunday Night Football opener.
