Oklahoma State Softball Gets No. 7 Overall Seed, Hosts Stillwater Regional
STILLWATER – Fresh off beating No. 1 Oklahoma 4-3 to win the Big 12 tournament championship, Oklahoma State Cowgirl softball has received the No. 7 overall seed in the NCAA tournament and will face Fordham in the Stillwater Regional on Friday, May 20.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT and will be streamed on ESPN+.
On the other side of the bracket, North Texas and Nebraska face off at 5 p.m. CT. This game will also be streamed on ESPN+.
If the Cowgirls make their way through and win the Stillwater Regional, they’ll host a Super Regional for the fourth time. The previous years were 2011, 2019 and 2021, winning the previous two to make the Women’s College World Series.
So, they’ll be working their way to try and make it to their third-straight WCWS.
The Cowgirls are 41-12 overall on the season, 14-4 in Big 12 play, including a huge win on Saturday when they knocked off No. 1 overall OU 4-3 in extra innings to win their first Big 12 tournament championship.
