Cowgirls Close Season In Women’s College World Series Semifinals

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The seventh-national seeded Oklahoma State softball team dropped a pair of games to Texas, 5-0, and 6-5 on Monday at Hall of Fame Stadium. 
 
The Cowgirls finished the season with a 48-14 record.
 
In game one, Morgan Day took the loss (13-5), allowing five runs, three earned, on five hits. There was one defensive error.
 
The Cowgirls recorded four hits in the opening contest of the day. 
 
In game two, Kelly Maxwell struck out 11, allowing six runs, three earned, and four hits. There were three defensive errors. 
 
Karli Petty and Kiley Naomi both provided two-run home runs for the Cowgirl offense. 
 
The season ended in the third-consecutive Women's College World Series appearance for OSU.
