Spencer Sanders Helps Lead Cowboys through Start of Summer Workouts

STILLWATER – With summer school starting this week, the Oklahoma State football players are back on campus and on Monday veterans like quarterback Spencer Sanders and safety Jason Taylor Ii came together along with the new freshmen and transfer players to begin work in the summer program with assistant athletics director for speed, strength,and conditioning Rob Glass. The program consists of strength and speed development workouts on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

So if someone knows, are the heating units for the Smith practice facility a replacement or a new upgrade. I had thought the practice facility had no HVAC whatsoever and portable heaters and swamp coolers were the only (partial) relief from outside temperature.

The facility will not have air conditioning or heat but will have fans to help create a cross wind in conjunction with the retractable doors.

The building will be 92,000 to 94,000 square feet. Upon completion, it will be 85 feet high, 420 feet long and 210-215 feet wide.

They'll be new upgrades because the facility wasn't built with anything heating or cooling. It'll be really nice to be warm this winter doing availabilities lol.

Zach, can you let us know if/when you hear anything about Cole Birmingham returning to practice. It sounded originally like it would not be until sometime this Fall, maybe August, but possibly not game shape at the beginning of the season.

Birmingham is not returning this season. I know Robert Allen loves his underdogs, but Birmingham tells anyone in town who asks that he is in recovery through the fall. I have no idea why this hasn't really been properly reported on, Birmingham led the production board last season, you'd think a key player's season-ending injury would be news...
