Here I am again thinking this team is more loaded than the prior year, except at QB which is the singular, most important position. But Spencer has now matured and has had a couple Springs with our qb coach. I honestly am believing this defense will be close to last year's D and perhaps better in the line (absent injuries) which is huge.
And I think our OL and receivers will be a considerable step up from last year on a broad, depth basis (although we don't know if a single deep threat like Tay will emerge). However, between Bray, Green, Braden, Rashod, Langston, Cale, Tate, Johnson (Fr) and Shettron (Fr) you have to think we can run the deep routes until DB's get tired! And who in the country has a better slot/short passing game situation than OSU with two Presleys, JP and perhaps Braden part time in slots with the threat of CW Green sneaking out of the backfield!
And running back is deep, so if no "Jalen" arises right off, you have to think our committee there will be pretty darned good and clawing to make their mark each carry. If this team stays healthier than last years (which almost won the conference championship game despite 3 or 4 huge player injuries going into ATT including a couple in our thin OL as well as Jalen), the Cowboys should have a great chance at repeating as regular season champs and getting another shot at the Big XII Championship game.
