Oklahoma State-Texas Tech Most-Watched Big 12 Game on FS1 Since 2017
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State continues to show why it’s one of the most successful football programs in the country.
According to numbers released by FOX Sports, the Big 12 game against Texas Tech this past weekend drew 1.63 million viewers, making it the most-watched Big 12 game on FS1 since November 2017, which also happened to be an Oklahoma State game. Bedlam 2017 drew 2.49 million viewers.
Also, according to FOX, the 1.63 million viewers is up +240% over FS1’s 2021 Big Saturday average numbers of 480,000 viewers during the 2021 season.
The Cowboys are now 5-0 on the season, 2-0 in Big 12 play and ranked No. 8 in the country in the updated AP Top 25 poll. They’re still No. 7 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
They hit the road this weekend to Fort Worth, TX, for a top-15 matchup against TCU, who’s ranked No. 13 by the AP. The Horned Frogs are also 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in Big 12 play. TCU went to Lawrence this past weekend and beat No. 19 Kansas 38-31 in a game that drew 1.39 million viewers on FS1.
This weekend’s game is a 2:30 p.m. CT kick on ABC, a matchup which will most certainly draw viewers in the millions. It’s on right after the Iowa State-Texas game, which is on ABC, and just before No. 4 Clemson at Florida State.
I’d be shocked if OSU-TCU didn’t draw more than ISU-Texas.
