Watch: Mike Boynton Talks Bahamas Hoops Trip

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton addressed the Cowboys’ upcoming trip to the Bahamas, where they’ll face UCF on Friday, Nov. 18.

The Cowboys are fresh off a successful trip to Rochester, MI, where they beat Oakland 91-62. Avery Anderson III led the way with 18 points. He was one of four players in double-digits, along with John-Michael Wright (16), Caleb Asberry (13) and Moussa Cisse (11). For Cisse, it also marked his second double-double of the season as he hauled in 10 rebounds.

“It’s pretty neat,” coach Boynton said of the trip. “Obviously, we get to do stuff like this during our season. Football, they do this kind of stuff, it’s like a bowl game for them at the end of the year. For us, it’s something we get to do every year and we get to plan it. For [football], it’s kind of a surprise at the end, depending on how they do. For us, we’re excited; we get to play some games against quality opponents and see where we are. See if we can’t follow up the performance against Sunday and keep building off of that.”
