Watch Cowboy QB Commit Zane Flores Go for Perfect Season and Championship Nov. 21
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s quarterback pledge in the 2023 class is Gretna, Neb. standout and graduate of Elite 11 this summer Zane Flores. Flores has Gretna (12-0/4-0) back in the Nebraska Class A State Championship Game against Omaha Westside (11-1/3-1) on Monday night Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. If you want to watch Flores here are some simple instructions.
Go to Nebraska Public Media at https://nebraskapublicmedia.org/en/sports/nsaa-high-school-championships/. Click the word “Watch” on the banner. On the next page that comes up on the far left of the screen under the word watch, click “Live”. On the next page scroll down to “Streaming Now” and click “Class A”. That will bypass the geo limits on the live streaming and you should be able to see the game from anywhere. They also have an app for your phone or device so you can link it to your smart TV.
I was so happy with the good folks at Nebraksa Public Media that I sent in a one time donation today, so don’t feel bad about watching. I chipped in for all of us.
Flores has had a tremendous season as the 6-3, 190-pound signal caller has thrown for 2,703-yards passing hitting 214-of-322 passes (67 percent) with 30 touchdowns and only four interceptions. Flores has a very strong arm that I was able to see in person at “The Show” camp this summer. He has also rushed for 210-yards on 71 carries averaging 3.0-yards per carry and sacks and losses are factored into that number. He has nine rushing touchdowns.
Gretna is averaging 390.2-yards a game in total offense. In the playoffs they have beaten Lincoln Southeast 27-24 in the first round. In the quarterfinals they defeated Bellevue West 35-23, and last week handled Creighton Prep in the semifinals 36-14.
