Ok, I don't do this very often but Robert gets CALLED OUT HERE!!! With weather conditions and the fact we are just two plus years removed from A PANDEMIC which involved a potential for SERIOUS ILLNESSI I understand people not showing up but I commend the ones that did because those Seniors deserve to be honored! I have tried to do what I can to donate to the collective to that goes toward NIL, maybe it is not enough, I don't know, it is what I can afford! I was miserable in the wet conditions by the end of the game and hope I don't end up sick! Go Pokes, I look forward to a decent bowl game and a chance to finish on a high note!

Miserable day. Even worse 51/2 hour drive home after. I agree that the kids don't need criticized if there is effort and yesterday was tough. With the exception of a few places, mistakes aren't made because of lack of effort. I absolutely love the dedication and commitment from the players to this program. I'm sure there are issues but for the most part they aren't public (assuming coaches and leadership keep that under wraps). But I totally get my fill of the total bs of blaming fans. THAT IS A TOTAL COPOUT! Give it a break. Do you believe the negative fans at Texas, Ou, Ohio State, Alabama, Texas A&M, and anyone else is hurting their recruiting. Nope they are still getting who they want for the most part and always have. You want to know what impacts young people at the game? Energy, creativity, excitement, etc from players and coaches on the field. The excitement for Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech, K-State, and most of the other programs in this conference is evident when you watch them play. Sure some of these kids want the money but the type of player we've recruited with a few exceptions, aren't in that upper market. The very kids you mention as being tough and loving football usually aren't worried about a million dollar NIL deal. They want energy, motivated, creativity, knowing their coaches are battling just as hard as they are battling. Our coaches haven't done a good job with that and I look down the road 100 miles from me in Lubbock as an example at the exact opposite. Kids are going to want to play for those coaches. That would be a great place for coach Gundy to reset. Look around at his shortcomings, accept them, hold your coaches accountable, and lead. Anyone that blames fans for this teams mistakes isn't looking at the real issues. We need to act now or we will be sucking hind tit in a few years.

To be honest, fan attendance and commitment comes with team excitement and success. 25K yesterday was a reflection of five straight weeks of crappy football. That isn't on the fans it's on the coaches and team.

If you put a crappy product on the field your consumers have the right to not spend money watching it. In fact, they're telling you what you're selling isn't worth buying!

No show Bedlam for the millionth time one week earlier disgusts OSU people to unbelievable levels of frustration and contributed to the lack of enthusiasm for senior day and constant rain. If you want more from fans then play a rivalry game like everyone else in college football as more important than other games justifying greater focus, preparation, effort, and heightened competitiveness instead of crawling into a fetal position before the damn game kicks off!

I agree it's not on the players, Gundy needs to hire the first legitimate offensive coordinator since Monken. Other good to great programs deal with coordinator turnover all the time, so deal with it. We need someone to challenge our very conservative coach. I like a conservative leader guiding the way, with risk takers calling the shots, that is a good recipe for success in most enterprises. If you are always comfortable you develop blind spots real bad.

Fan turnout should almost always be better.

RA, thanks for saying he IS having those conversations with players and/or their representatives.

My question - why he publicly states he ISN'T having those conversations. Seems silly and borderline negligent to NOT have those conversations in today's landscape of NIL and Portal (whether or not he likes and agrees with either), especially after what we saw happen to us last year in regards to not only the quality, but numbers lost to both entities.

And, with his public denial of these all-important conversations lends credence and credibility to the criticism of him being a little to comfortable and a little to conservative with the current recruiting landscape when other programs and staffs are having great success with their pitches luring our best and brightest away.

So again, thanks for clarifying that he does have them. Sure hope those conversations are happening immediately based on various transfers being contemplated as we speak.

Perfect storm on the attendance.

Mid 40's and solid rain; 11am kick for 80% of a fan base having to drive a hour or more to attend; playing against a non-bowl eligible team; playing one week after the typical gut-wrenching lackluster loss to our rival; pretty mediocre, if not downright bad, football over the last month or so; and Thanksgiving weekend with vast majority of the student body still out of town along with other holiday travels for the rest of the fanbase.

I too commend all that attended. I could only GIVE 2 of my 4 tickets away. Tough weekend for being able to attend. Again, I salute those that were there. Looked miserable.

I'm thrilled to hear changes are underway and that a hard reset is in the works as well. Knowing that you are able to at least say that gives me hope and confidence that he's leaning into the problem(s) and seeking solutions.

Look forward to the bowl game preparations and your reporting on the progress being made with an additional 12 or so practices!

Go Cowboys!

I can't believe you are blaming the fans. Like others said don't put a sucky product out on the field. We got outplayed by Kansas, Kansas State, OU, West Virginia. Robert, if you think for a second just putting up a fight with creativity on offensive end wouldn't get people excited you're wrong. Our offense is so predictable and everyone can almost tell what's going to happen. Something HAS to change. Also, the attitude of the NCAA is going to change the "rules" is laughable. Nothing is going to happen the NCAA is dead and most programs know this. Tell Gundy to get excited, move on the sideline yell, smile, do something. He is so relaxed and thinks he is good. Rome around him is falling apart and he is to stubborn to see it.

So, what kind of changes are we going to see? I was hoping Dunn and Dickey would be gone today. Those guys are not getting the job done.

When we were winning earlier in the year, we did not have a run game. Dickey cannot recruit, and in
my opinion, he simply cannot coach.

Dunn is a good recruiter or has been in the past, but he is no offensive coordinator. He should be reassigned to his old job as receiver's coach. Some say he would not accept the demotion. If that is the case, let him leave.

If Gundy is frustrated, he is the one that can change things. You want a full house, win!!!!

After the Texas game, I was sure we would get a commitment or two. The stadium was electric. Energy was in the air, but no, not one commitment. Something is not right!

Number 69 in the nation in recruiting is terrible. All of the Big 12 schools are doing rather well, with the exception of Kansas and ourselves. TCU, with new blood, is having a great season and is doing really well on the recruiting front. Something has to change, or this program is going to be irrelevant in the not so distant future!

I love your dedication and gave you a star, but with all due respect I DON'T CARE OR WANT TO BE F'ING TEXAS TECH!!! I want to compete on that stage with the power brokers, I love what Utah does, I love what Oregon does and I love what Wisconsin has done in the past and what we have done in the past!!! I have been through this before in 2007, 2014, 2018 and what we are suffering through this year! There need to be some course corrections and I think those are being addressed, for example the O line has new GA and Analyst that were brought in last January, Robert Allen's kid who brought in probably one of the top performers in this group in Jason Brooks through the postal and had a kid committed to us last Spring in Prince Piines who is an NFL prospect and first team all conference at Tulane, we lost him because he is from New Orleans and wanted to play near home! Zach is the type of Coach and recruiter that wants bad mofos in his lineman, both Offense and Defense because he has coached both sides! I am hoping he finds a couple more mofos this off-season either through the Juco ranks or the portal, he is scouring the countryside I can tell you that because I have witnessed it myself! Three of the Incoming Freshman, Stannaland, Sanders from Stillwater and Endean from Arizona are bad mofos who are strong and have that bad mofo attitude much like the players Wickline and Henson went after! I am close to this young Coach and his family so I know what he is made of!!!

So, now it's the fans' fault? This team has collapsed in the second half of the season - outplayed and out-coached! You expect people to be happy about that? You're going to blame the people who buy the tickets and gear and tv fees, who donate the money to enable it all and who show up and cheer despite an inferior product on the field!? I haven't seen any criticism of players on this web site - only the team's leadership who are responsible for preparing the team for competition. Get real, Robert. We have higher expectations than excuses and failure.

not only that but Robert was throwing haymakers left and right, for no apparent reason.... very odd article from him.

Gundy says he doesn't have those conversations, Robert says he does.... I'm going to go with the Coach's reply

Gundy says he's grateful so many fans braved the weather and showed up, Robert says it was embarrassing.... I'm going to go with the Coach's reply.... I sat through a 40 degree rain game before, there is NOTHING more miserable. Bravo to so many fans who braved the weather, the season, and gave up their holiday to attend. Bravo.

Gundy says we need to work on technique and get guys healthy, Robert says the OLine has been on decline for a freaking decade.... I'm going to go with Coach's reply . Really Robert? A decade? We did go through 3 bad OLine coaches which is part of your point (Adkins, Connelly and Henson), but Dickey has gotten most of that mess cleaned up, and his pups are just now coming into their own.

Really Robert, you're going to start punching at the team too?

Line has been been on a decline for 10 years.we have had some really bad o line coach hires. The line still sucks. We need new talent a new coach and new technique. Funny Robert now sayin everything I been saying already. But if you don't agree with Robert then you should just go. No sense in supporting this site man. Probably just best if you leave. how many times do we have to go over this? You sound foolish with your constant bashing of our depleted OLine.

Give it a freaking rest already. Our rushing game looked fantastic, with a 100 yard rusher, and the B/U getting half a hundred.

You just can't ever see any silver lining because you won't take your head out from under the umbrella long enough to look around.

I'm going to start an OLine (next year) thread on the Premium board and hope we can get Robert's input, and hopefully the naysayers can keep it objective and civil, although Robert sounded like a naysayer in that last article, LOL.

I was at the game. Ollie Gordon's power and athleticism was a major reason our run game was productive. The line was getting blown up all day. Our line is not depleted. We are missing a 2-3 out of like 20 o lineman on the roster. You are the only one and maybe your buddy joe that thinks I sound foolish. Even Robert agrees with me. Tides are turning cali. Btw clarify the dumbass thing while I got ya. So you are allowed to be nasty and hateful to others but no one else is? It's ok for you to be toxic and hypocritical but not others? Is this correct?

Also I see a silver lining. Young talent everywhere. Just not so much with the offensive line. And a tired coach. Dickey isn't recruiting anything worth a damn. We are filling up on walk ons that small colleges are barely even looking at. The line Situation is not a silver lining but we have linings elsewhere for sure. Again the line is not one of them. Rb is. Qb is . Receiver is. We got some cowboy back talent that's young that could be good if we ever used that position. Defense in year 2 of Mason could take nice strides. The o line tho is tragic and continues to disappoint. I can't think of another line of work you could produce such meager results and still have a job. Definitely not where I work. Gotta produce. Gotta prove you are worth what they pay ya.

wrong again..... so sorry for you.

I'm talking about the season, and you're using ONE GAME. Coach said there were creases for the RBs that hadn't been there before. What, Ollie suddenly got "power" in the last game, but he didn't have any the rest of the year?

Your statements don't even make any sense, and they are not supported by direct statements from the coach.

glad you were at my OSU game, I guess you couldn't make it to Lubbick to watch your cowboyred-sports-and-imports team.

now you're disrespecting the plethora of Freshmen and RS Freshmen OLinemen that we have on the roster.

On the season the run game has been trash and Ollie Gordon has barley gotten any run. Before Nixon went down the run game hadn't done much. When Ollie came in here trucked some guys and jumped over a guy to gain tough yards we weren't gaining before. I know because it was literally right in front of me. The stadium was empty and me and my buddy went up and down the field and saw all the action very close up. The line didn't open up a ton of holes and they got their asses kicked like normal. Ollie Gordon made plays.

It's sport not personal. I know these types of recruits generally don't perform at the highest of levels. Hence why not many schools recruit them. I judge performance. Our line has been a weakness. As noted every week with a Gundy comment about protection and now apparently technique. Robert Allen even saying it's been a problem for 10 years. I know we haven't changed recruiting philosophy and it hasn't worked so why would it all of a sudden will our lines become better when we are adding walk-on players? Walk ins fill the scout team for the starters to beat up on. But we want them to start? Tell me how that makes sense. Tell me what you know about these kids that makes you so sure they will be better? Give me your almighty wisdom lord dumbass of nevada. My osu lol yeah ok

Ollie is the reason we went down and went in for the game winning drive against Texas. Go look back at the film. Gundy didnt want to play him because he doesn't play true freshman unless he needs too. He needed too and we see what happens when talent is believed in. Also, this Oline is not very good, I can't believe you can't see that. If it isn't the players (it is for the most part) its the scheme and Dickey has got to go. The game has passed him by.
